The only thing I could think of with the time on spark plugs is their potential time in operation. Say you drive a short distance daily consisting of long operation but low milege (ie nyc drivers). Your plugs/vehicle in general would undergo a lot of stress without showing a lot of miles.

On a side note- I'm convinced P dealers must think we are all complete morons when it comes to service prices. How in the H#*@ can they ask for such insane prices for a task as simple as an oil change and inspection?? I guess they have doctors performing the work or something.

... and that's why I took it to an independent Porsche guy- 20K check, oil change, swap regular tire & wheel set for snow set, and reset my service reminder, all for $260 (yes, he used Mobil 1 and Porsche parts).

With the extra $$$ I used the money to upgrade the pickups on my Les Paul, buy a cool new leather guitar strap and new strap locks, and bought my 9 year-old son a nice 8GB iPod Nano for the holidays.

If we have the brains to build a career so we can afford Porsches, we are smart enough to know when to go, and when not to go to the stealer; that's why they fix our cars, and we don't have to mow their lawns.
