I also have the mobridge - I posted a review at https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...=115313&page=2. It's probably the best of the bunch, though the PCM limitations are still somewhat frustrating.
I had an empeg in my Boxster for 8 years and that was far, far superior in terms of user interface. It's tough to go back in ease-of-use after 8 years, but the din-sized empeg (www.empeg.com) wouldn't fit in the 997 console, and it was analog only so no use for the MOST bus.

scuzy, did you get this worked out? I'm about to buy the 160GB iPod, but I'm concerned about your experience with it. Scott at mObridge says he knows of only one customer who's having problems (probably you).
Weird. I definitely want to load up my iPod with my 15,000 songs; that's why I'm getting the 160. Does the problem have to do with the quantity of songs, or are you trying to access a very large playlist?
i think it just can't see beyond certain size of songs. Since it was working fine on 21,000 then i added some more and stop working. so i just uploaded only my recent play lists and not worry about my whole library of ancient old school songs.
Hate to pipe up in public forums with company business but I suppose any public airing of "bug" deserves a proper response especially since I think this one affects other members of the community, not just mObridge and our users.
It is true that we have one report of a 160GB iPod Classic locking up or not presenting "discs" on the system when it's chocked full of content. Using same hardware and software versions (everything, including iPod), we've tried and tried and tried and cannot repeat it ourselves so I would say the risk with 160GB iPod in a mObridge system is minimal-to-moderate, and OK if you keep it down under, say the 22K songs the user mentioned. So that's far more than most users will carry around. And if you have a heavy volume of video content (not as many "tracks"), that doesn't seem to cause the problem.
By the way, this is apparently a bug introduced in the 160GB iPod Classic itself, which we have secondhand reports has "broken" other vehicle iPod integration systems. Although no chance to root-cause the issue because we can't repeat it, likely iPod is returning errors when it is queried due to some oddity in the internal database structure that holds the song information.
Happy to report we aren't flat-out "broken" due to this issue, but if anyone has any further reports of using 160GB iPod classic in mObridge or any other system like DICE, Dension, NAV-TV, PIE, Peripheral, BMW kit, BMW 6FL, Audi Music Interface, etc., we would love to hear about them.
In the interim, we will consider a release that at least gives you, the user, an indication that it's the iPod returning an error, e.g., "iPod error ...", which is certainly feasible although of course not an ultimate solution to the problem.
We will keep the community posted if we get better information or experience regarding 160GB iPod Classic either with mObridge or in other systems.
Thanks as always for your support and assistance!
