Wheels for my cayenne

Looking for some light 17-19 inch wheels that i can use to take my cayenne to the track on weekends. No chrome and emphasis on LIGHT weight. Any suggestions?

I bought 20" Champion RS97's from Wheel Enhancement on their recommendation..."forged aluminum, strong and lightweight". They're not exactly what you've asked for, but I thought they were worth a mention. I've since replaced them with the new 21" factory wheel, (much slower to accelerate, and more braking effort to stop). I like the look of the 21's, but it was a different animal with the Champions on it.

RS171's are very nice! Do they make that wheel for the Cayenne?

ocheadhunter, you were really able to notice the weight difference between the 20" Champion RS97's and the new 21" wheel from Porsche? I wonder how much the new 21"s from Porsche weigh and what your old 20" Champions weigh? Do you still have them?

islandmd615, If those RS171's work on the Cayenne, I think they'd be a great choice. Champion makes very good wheels. Good luck with your choices.

ventuje: I didn't weigh them, but, there is a noticeable difference when I picked them up as well as when I drive. I think other factors like overall circumfrence (larger on the 21's) and I have a '05 CS not a CTT (less power, smaller brakes) and I was told that the transmission is programmed for 20" wheels on the older Cayennes...all make for additional minor, but noticeable differences in driving.

And yes I still have my RS97's...collecting dust in the corner of my garage.

I dont really recommend tracking a Cayenne, but if you want lightweight wheels, Champion and HRE are both good choices. I prefer the HREs as they seem to be lighter when the wheels are the same dimensions.

Thanks! A couple people have asked, I need to get rid of them. They're just sitting in my garage. I guess I've just been procrastinating. Maybe they'd work for your track days?
