Cayenne Daily Driver???

My question is..Can the cayenne be an everyday driver or will the expenses be outrageous??? I am for give or take about 20k miles per year..any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

A friend of mine is on his thired Cayenne as his daily driver with no problems. He has 65,000 miles on an '06 Turbo S and loves it.

I guess most of your expenses will be in gas and tires, specially if you with a Turbo but a Cayenne makes it for a great daily driver indeed...

Out of curiosity, why is he on his 3rd? For a car that's only been out 4-5 years, that seems odd.

Our CTT is a daily driver & other than normal upkeep (oil changes, tires, etc.) we've only had one item go out (driveline center support). We're at the gas station all the time though.

Are you kidding...its great for that. We even towed a 22' ATC with race cars. Its the perfect all-arounder.

I have 22's on my on my 07 Denali AWD wearing 305/45/22 Toyo Proxies. I got them put on the day after I got my truck, and I'm about to bust the 30k mark and still have about 5-10k left in them.

I do a ton of freeway driving and I'm heavy on the gas. L.A. - Vegas in 3 hours regularly.

L.A. -West Texas 10 hours.

So I wouldn't be concerned about tire life that much.

You realize that's the point of most if not all Porsches. Daily driven is half the point. Now we're asking if the Cayenne is ok to DD? LOLOL

I have an 08 CTT and use it for my daily driver. I have 10k miles on it in 8 months. I absolutely love driving it daily - it is like driving a sports car every day. 10-12 mpg on gas, new tires every 12k miles. I had an 04 CTT, I quickly learned not to buy Michelin tires - too expensive and wear the same as tires 1/2 the price.

Yeah I'm about to pass 30000 within the next week or 2. My truck is a 6.2 liter 380hp/418ft lbs. I haul *** everywhere. I'm not easy on my SUV. Getting about 10-12 mpg.

Yet my tires still have a good 5+ thousand miles on them. I'm not even into the treadbars yets.

Every review I read for my tires, kept saying 10-15 thousand miles. I'm double that and still have good tread left.

I'll also say I love the proxies they have been an awesome tire. Grant it I live in So. Cal so the worst they have seen is heavy rain, but they have performed flawless.

I will say I don't "burn rubber" so maybe that's a factor.
