I don't see a reason to compare X5 and Cayenne. It is Cayenne, it is a Porsche. I think comparing it with X5 is just nonsense... Which name sounds more sporty? BMW or Porsche...

 

Of course the GTS is going to be quicker. If the V10 or twin turbo v10 X5 get built then it should be a better race.

 

Its a perfect comparison! They compare BMW and Porsche all the time and these two SUVs have the same size engine, why not compare them.

They compare Nissan with Porsche, the Nissan won... What do you have to say about that? Of course Nissan sounds faster than Porsche..


As for the video, the X5 looks simple when next to the Cayenne... Its still a beast of a machine, but Ill take a GTS for an extra 20k.

 

The GTS is the first Cayenne I've really considered... I haven't been able to get over the heft of the Cayenne, although the GTS seems to be the Porschest of the Cayennes so far.
However, the anticipated X5 with the 400 hp twin turbo engine from the X6 will be the match for the GTS.

 

Just watched the vid. A manual trans, lower final drive ratio and an extra 50 hp makes 2 sec lap difference about right. I'd like to see how the tippy compares.

 

r u kidding? if u can't compare an X5 to a Cayenne than what can? a Ford Explorer? and u proceed to choose the Cayenne over the X5 because u think Porsche sounds more sporty? LOL

it's a freaking car (suv) man! nothing more, nothing less. u make it seem like porsche is the almighty car brand which no other brands should be compared to. wake up, dude.
