My new Cayenne GTS experience....

Today is my 3rd day of driving my brand new imported cayenne GTS and my first porsche vehicle.
its generally a great car. but so far, I realized couple problems with it and kind of disappointed. And I am posting here to see if any of those are common problems with Cayenne.....

First, the rear windshield washer's cover fell off on the road, and I found it missing on the 1st day....

then the next day, I recognize the rear seat lock (see the picture below) is in defective and cannot re-lock easily ( unless you push it very HEAVILY)

Has anyone had similar problem as mine? and is it easy to fix?

I am just not feeling good that a 110k vehicle has such problems.
P.S. Sorry for the poor grammar.

Dont have a GTS. Actually right now dont even have an '06... (dont ask) but my 08 is due in 3 weeks!!

Are you talking about reclosing the seat backs?

In my 06 - the latching back of the seats always took a good thump. I dont see it as an issue?

As for the cap - surely the dealer will fix it for you FOC?

Best,

Simon.

my rear wiper cover popped off too...
they made me buy a new one and it is packaged only with the microswitch @ $30

they told me it was a new design and better than the one on my 06...

Obviously they still haven't quite figured it out.

MCL is selling a brand new GTS with 115k not including tax.
Mine is imported from US and its 15-20k cheaper than MCL's.

My cover fell off twice at the car wash...first time, they found it, second time, no such luck. I say just go back to the salesman and have him buy you a new cover.
Got anymore pictures of it? How's the driving experience been?

Hello99, may I ask what percentage of the buying price do you have to pay for customs and do you have to pay GST? I am thinking of importing one for my father who lives in Vancouver also. Thanks.

Is the factory 'tint' a surface film? That would be a first I think.

I thought it was an embedded layer in the laminated glass. If it has bubbles I'd have PCNA replace the glass at once. That could be classified as a potential hazard if it affects visibility.
