i wish it has a easier way to do it...

Had a little difficulty programming the garage opener in an '08 GTS myself. Changing to a fresh battery in the garage opener did not help right away either. Had to play around with it for a few minutes changing the distance and rotating the remote control in my hand around until it took. The receiver must not be very sensitive so for future reference, a fresh battery, a little positioning distance and angle variations and a little patience should get it done.

I have a garage door with Genie Intellicode ("the rolling code" garage door). As others have indicated its a little more difficult to program, but I programmed the Homelink buttons in both of my Porsches a few days ago. I found in the Cayenne, I had to hold the remote control foward of the Homelink buttons, almost to the rear view mirror to get the LED to rapidly flash. Then I jumped out of the car, pressed the "learn button" on the garage door opener mounted on the ceiling, hopped back into the car and pressed the Homelink button I wanted to use.

It works like a charm. I did the 911 next. Once I had the technique down, it only took a few minutes to program the 911!

just printed out the instuctions a few posts back I will try AGAIN on the GTS.

I have done it with several of our cars, all with the rolling code, but only the Cayenne gives me problems.

Go figure. I will attempt again, for the 4th time, and probably the 2hr of trying.

I think that one thing missing in the owners manual instructions is that the ignition must be on for the buttons in the car to work. I suppose it's to prevent someone from reaching in thru an open window and pressing the button to open the garage door.

got mine setup For some reason whenbi tried setting it up and trying to setup button 3 instead of 1-2-3 in that order it wouldn't work. Once I did it and set it ip 1-2-3 for all doors in that order worked fine. Good riddens

Good info guys. I've been struggling with my homelink as well. I'll apply some of this tomorrow when I try it out.

FWIW, it always works like a charm in my BMWs for some reason.....

at last

Guys....I tried to do this for an hour with no luck! Did my old BMW and Audi Q7 in about 3 mins.....and then read the help here. BUT - I have just done it! I found that you MUST have the remote held VERY close to the main interior light switch - as in 1 inch. if you hold like 3-5" like in owners manual - it does not work!!!!

Problem programming Gene Intellicode for Bentley GT

No problem with BMW, Lincoln Nav, but the Bentley seems almost impossible to program. Any suggestions?
