HELP, programming garage door opener...

Hey guys... thought you might help me with instructions on how to program the garage door opener on my Cayenne... I've look all over the manual and can't seem to find the instructions on how to do it.

I'd also appreciate any recommendations or insight you can give me on the best/easiest Ipod connection.

Your kind help will be much appreciated.

I've got all the instructions known to man and still can't get ours working -over it, still using the remote lol. Took 2 minutes with the CLS - tried with my neighbor for hours on our Cayenne S.

Ron, thanks for the tip... bumble996 it seems easy only problem I find is that I'm in El Salvador, not the USA, not Canada or Europe so I printed all the instructions given and will see which makes mine work, I'll let you know.

you just need to hold the garage button and the original remote button at the same time until the garage button is blinking fast(not slow) to program the garage opener

I have programmed a half dozen cars in the last few years with no problems. Tried to program an '06 CTTS a couple of weeks ago and couldn't make it work. Compared the directions in the manual to the instructions in my wife's '08 Mercedes ML 320 CDI. Instructions were identical. Worked first time on her car, couldn't get it to work on the Cayenne after repeated tries. Called the garage door guy. He came over and did it in 2 minutes. Go figure!

It didn't appear that he did anything differently. My doors have the rolling codes, so I was on a ladder pressing the learn button on the opener while he was in the car, but he really couldn't tell me anything was different than others. Sorry I'm not more helpful. My garage has three doors, and the third one took a few times before it "caught", as he described it.

It isn't as hard as it seems, it's just an extra step. If it goes as its supposed to, once you get the hang of it, it isn't complicated.

Rolling code you must press the learn button on your garage opener (NOT THE CAR ONE)

I don't know why, but if your garage opener has rolling code (which makes it harder to open incorrectly), that's how you do it. I've done it with Audi, VW, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche and you do it exactly the same on all of them.
