I know the cluster from the turbo is color, where as the color from the GTS it diode orange.

My question is this.
Does the backlighting on the turbo throughout the radio/dials look white as well, or is it orange like the GTS?

I ask this because I am debating puting in the Turbo cluster into my GTS, but I won't do it if, the contrast from a color background cluster to a orange background of radio controls is too much.

What do you all think?
I want everything to match, that's why I want to know what the turbo is like.

 

Personally I wouldn't spend 3K to change over the Gauges. I too want a Turbo cluster but I wouldn't spend 3K for a small color screen.

The backlight is the same..I think you were expecting a white-ish color?

 

ya. ah, so the ONLY difference is the little color screen in the center, vs the orange diode screen??

that being said, granted it is a nicer display for what gear you are in and such, but if the backlighting is still orange, than I will also pass.

I could be blind but the last Turbo I sat in and drove was not White background(well not white like my 997 Turbo's) which is what I thought Jace was looking for.

Also the cluster is 3K with a 800 Core Charge so $2200.00 from the last few quotes I have gotten.

If it was 1K I would have possible bought one. It is not - I wish it was. If you can get them for 1K please let me know who. I have called several dealers.

sorry to hijack ur thread but this is somewhat related...

does anyone know the part number for a turbo cluster with aluminum or white look? will it cost more than normal turbo cluster (with black background)? also, when u do the switch, everything will work right? in another thread someone said everything will work minus the 'comfort' menu, is that true?
