Variable Steering Assist

Hi.. Just wondering.. for those who have the variable steering power assist, what do you think of it? would you get it again if u were to get another cayenne? i know it's only a $200 option but really how does it affect the driving feel (compared to other porsches that do not have this option)? is it useful?

thanks..

I order it for all my Cayenne clients. It's $200! Compared to a Q7 which costs $1200!

Its a must as I find it to make the SUV quiet responsive and sports car like.

Thanks for the response. I was just afraid that it might take away the response/feel.

I wasn't going to get it, but my wife drives the Cayenne too, so I bought it for her- well worth it to make her happy; she's only a petite 5'2", and I could see her struggling during parking w/o it.

it basically softens the steering wheel when the car is moving slow and hardening it when driving faster

for me, it is worth every penny, I have driven vehicle's without it, and in those vehicle's you "do" get more road feel, and the turning is much more acurate, but in my opinion, I would rather have an "easier" feel than a tough feel.
In cars with the option the wheel is much easier to turn at slow speeds, rather than the almost "no power steering" feel without it.
Worth it....

I would definitely drive one with servotronic and one without so you can judge for yourself. That being said, I think its a must and I wouldnt order one without it. Even for a sporty SUV like the Cayenne.
