Power TailGate retrofit?

Does anyone know if the PowerTailgate feature is retrofittable to older cayennes?

And guess what I saw, I saw an 08 Cayenne S at Frankfurt airport with no power tailgate. How????

Even if you could it probably wouldn't be worth the cost to do so.

Its doable. Was done at Porsche Delhi, India 3 yrs ago. Cost is almost same as a factory option.

Well it looks like there are only 9 parts involved, doesn't seem like it would be too complicated to install. It's just a pump, some lines, and the actuator.

Well I was trying to post a screen cap of the part diagram but can't seem to get it to work. Here is a link though, looks like only about $1,400 in parts if you really want to do this.

))) you just forgot about such a liiitlle thing - all about electric parts. two control units to make it work, sensor with holder, button with beeper and holder, door looms, and replicate part of body loom since it cant be bought separatedly. also dont forget about left hinge and body ball stud for hydraulic cylinder. and cut the strange shape opening inside roof for hydraulic lines.
main point - find such car at scrapyard and take all that need used and cheap.

Details, details, details. Way to pick my "research" apart. Yeah I suppose those things are kind of important too. If you want it to work and all that is.
