just got a 08 v6 cayenne. eibach spring with 22" cut or not cut?? please help!
hi everyone,
i am new here. never owned a porsche before so i was never on the forum. heard great things about it. now finally i can join 6speedonline!
i just got a v6 2008 cayenne. i had 22" wheels and had it lower with eibach springs. wasn't sure to go with h&r or eibach, but the shop got me eibach instead.
my problem is that the car does not look even lowered! the gap between the wheel and fender is way too much. should i cut the springs to make it lower to fill in the gap more? if so, how much should i cut. i am just looking for fill the gap a bit more without the ride being too bad. i still want to seat 4 or 5 if possible.
is eibach better ride then h&r when is cut or vice versa?
i just got the car back and there is some sound from the rear springs. sorta of a cracking sound. i am thinking maybe is just the springs hitting each other.
i am thinking if i cut the springs, the shocks will be gone soon. does anyone recommend where i can purchase parts online. shocks, maybe a gts front bumper
online?
your input is much appreciated!
thanks!!!!

Eibach does not ride better than HR.. and please dont cut them it'll be worst.. There are a lot of guys with HR on this forum and 22's, and have good reviews but I dont suggest passengers in the back unless you hate them
..
Better to go KW coilovers but very pricey..

Depending on the drop, the springs will continue to settle a little more over the next few days. Give it a bit and take a look at it on Monday after son driving time.
I def wouldnt cut the springs... That would be a horrible idea.

i had h&r and 22s and the gap was perfect.
not too low, the proportion was FANTASTIK.
just give it some time to settle. 1.4 vs 1.6 is not a whole lot of a difference.
coilover is the sure way to go but u got ot pay to pLay.
don't cut springs and jeopordize your car.

DO NOT CUT THOSE SPRINGS, I REPEAT DO NOT CUT THOSE SPRINGS!!! The ride will be absolutely horrible if you do, you will get sea sick from all the bouncing. Look into coilovers if you want to lower it more. Good luck
You Sure About that??????
On Ebay all H&R's are listed as 1.2" & 1.3" Drop
Eibach's as 1.4" all around??????
Whats the Real Numbers?
the numbers are right !!!
for cayenne V6 is 1.6" drop and for cayenne S is 1.2"&1.3" drop (This is for H&R).
has anybody install the H&R for cayenne V6 to cayenne S ???
i wanna know if that works.
