.....~$6000 more than the MSRP of my 08 GTS. I went on Porsche's website and built one equipped the same as my 08 and the MSRP of the 09 was $97k; the MSRP of mine b/f discount was $91,125. Just an observation.

Price increase might help to slow the depreciation curve a bit....

The online configurator is for 09? I didn't see the Turbo S so assumed it was still for 08.

I noticed the price increase too. One thing I saw is the base msrp for the 09 GTS is 70900 according to their US site, but when you go through the configurator and add Tiptronic, the base price jumps to 73900. I guess the tiptronic isn't really a no-cost option as the order guide would lead us to believe.

 

It's obvious that prices will increase. EUR/USD ratio is around 1.60 these days, which was around 1.30s last year

 

Interesting...it only went up $3000 per my option list. So basically PCM3.0 has to be worth $3K if I had waited.

 

Are you sure? My 2009 GTS went up only by ~$2,000 over the 2008 prices. Base increased by $1,600, PCM by a few hundred, and a few misc. options by only a few dollars.

I found out on Saturday that it has arrived at PCNA and the price sticker has been generated, so it should be delivered any day.

 

I know there was a 2-3% change but the price of my GTS did not go up that much if at all from the 08 config I did.

 

Yup, unless Porsche's website is wrong..... Spec'd it out option for option. Only thing I couldn't add to the 09 was the compass display for $95.

 

maybe they removed the compass and is now standard on the 09 PCM 3.0?

 

I got to thinking about some of the responses about 09 prices so I went and built the 09 model again and must make a correction to what I said the other day. The 09 model is actually only ~$2,700 more than the 08 model. The only thing I can figure is that I added in full leather, gauges, red belts and when I went to take that stuff off, the configurer didn't remove the cost? Sorry if I got the resale hopes up of anyone with an 08. I stand corrected.
