OEM Hitch Cover

I just did a search to buy a Crest OEM Hitch cover for my CTT, and almost fell out of my chair when I saw that they list for $1000. I'm floored.

Anyone know of any other options out there besides this robbery?

The only ones I've seen on Ebay are the OEM ones. $999. Please post a link if you have one!

LOL ... don't you use a hitch lock? Look again at my pictures. Most auto supply stores / U-Haul have these locks.

The hitch lock doesn't lock down the Hitch Cover. Or does it? I don't see how it would. Or does it extend back to the locking mechanism as well and the lock threads through it?

The device is a metal plate with a plastic extension on the back, when inserted it allows a locking peg to be inserted and a padlock fitted for security

999 is not the price, it is this EBay seller's code that the item is out of stock. They told me they will change it when the item arrives and is restocked. Go figure.

Curt Mfg makes nice powder coated ones in various colors. I got a black one for my black S at Hitchsource.com for $14.25. +1 for the hitch lock!

The OEM hitch covers are discontinued but there are still a few out there. My parts dude did a search for me and i just called up the closest one and had them ship it to me. Part was $15 shipping $6. Had it in 2 days.
