cayene sparkplugs

need some feedback,

sent my 2006 cayenne V6 to an independent for 30k kms service, and they bought sparkplugs from VW the Touareg V6 sprkplugs (same part number, i also had the part number checked with porsche dealer). however i found that the accelaration is slightly rougher. rechecked again on the computer to see any fault reading, but none showed up. but it certainly doesnt feel the same. feels as if there is slight vibration when press on the accelerator and generally rougher.

what could be the issue?

two possibilities:

1-)there is oil leakage to spark plugs, causing them to misfire
2-) psychologic

If you're missing it should come up on fault...... Sometimes there are just defects on any parts item you purchase.... There could be a defective item.... You might also check the ignitor packs as the change could have been the straw which broke the camels back or even just handling them during the service (Extreme heat conditions will cause these items to fail premature).

Good Luck,

same here, check the coils. Mine didnt showed up any missfire on the computer, but when I've checked them 6 out of 8 where craked. there is a reported issue for these coils. you have to see what part number you have installed on your car. as for the Porsche spark plugs, these are made by Bosch, so you will find them in many cars, and it might be the same ones that are used on Touareg, in fact there are many parts that are working on both parts, cause thats doesnt means that they have the same power.

thanks guys for the input. made a fuss with the workshop and they agreed to replace it with the ones from Porsche dealer. i have the feeling that the gapping is different between cayenne v6 and toureg v6.

One other quick note: If you recieve spark plugs for an 08 V6, they will go in, but they are just different enough from the previous generation to cause rough running.
