Hi, i think the heating of the steering wheel is only working when the heat in the drivers seat is turned on? Right??

No it has nothing to do with the heated seats. Some other German cars, like Audi I believe, work that way but not the Cayenne. It has to do with the temperature. I keep my heated seat off almost 100% of the time and the steering wheel heats up anyways.

internal temp lower than 40 degrees or somehting like that. It senses it and turns the wheel heat on warm.

I found yesterday my car had a heated wheel, cause the temp dropped to 38
I dont think it works w/ the heated seats.... in my opinion it gets too hot, got sweaty palms... my wife started looking at me weird...

It plain and simple sucks!!!!

I have it on my bmw and works really well.
Previously, i had it on a cayenne and was a waste of money IMHO.
I even took it in asking the dealer if it's working or not.
