Cayenne Hybrid will debut in new model with 26 MPG !!

article:
http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/10/f...yenne-s-hybri/

speculated design:
http://www.worldcarfans.com/9081202....orsche-cayenne

The new Cayenne is going to debut for the next -generation model and will have a MPG of nearly 26 MPG , over 25 % increase over the previous model , plus providing more HP than the v8 !

Porsche has introduced impressive technology:

-- a 8 gear tranny from asin, against the CVT most hybrids use
-- a re-generative braking system
-- to make stop and go run completely on the battery, using a very powerful low-torque 51 HP electric motor
-- although engines borrowed from Audi, porsche replaced all the gas-using features like tranny , steering to run on electric motor only ( this is great, I own an A4 1.8T, and that little thing drinks GAS)
-- A SUPERCHARGER ! ( less weight, more HP)

I'm really excited, I am going to start saving up for one now hehe. and porsche will not be over flamboyant in its advertising it as a 'hybrid', they say it will look just like the regular car, plus it WILL release in as the NEXT gen Cayenne ... so we may have these choices next year

Diesel, Hybrid, or the regular gas

"will not be over flamboyant" as evident by the 8 inch lettering scrawled across the rockers. "Hybrid". Wow - Stuttgart goes SouthPark.

I've been considering the Cayenne Hybrid for several years now ... I need to get Wifey out of the CR-V and into some else. So for now, it's between the MB GLK and the Cayenne Turbo ... I'm mean Cayenne Hybrid. Boy, that was close.
