iPhone bluetooth sync problem
iPhone bluetooth sync problem
Hi,
Has anyone else had problems syncing an iPhone with PCM via bluetooth? Dealer spent an hour trying to get it to work to no avail on a new 09 GTS. I got the iPhone to pair to PCM but then it doesn't show up on the device list.
Thanks.

Thanks. The iPhone (and my blackberry for that matter) both actually pair with PCM (3.0) and the PCM says "successfully registered" but then, for some reason, the phones don't show up in the list of devices nor does it work... Maybe they can downgrade the car to PCM 2.0...

The PCM 3.0 on my 2009 cs syncs with my gf's iphone flawlessly. With my verizon blackberry 8830 however, was not as smooth. The first time it did synch with no issues. Then I had a replacement 8830 a week later and the PCM would not communicate with it. I disconnected the device, restarted, deleted the device and it was no help. I was about to post on the forum for help and call my dealer. Luckily last night i had some free time. After about 15 mins of playing around with every option turned on and off, rebooting the phone and turning BT on and off on the car, it finally worked.
My experience with BlueTooth is that the initial handshake can be shaky, it applies to not just phones but headsets, keyboard/mouse etc. Once connected, it works well. Just be patient, and keep trying. You will get it to work eventually.

iPhone Bluetooth sync problem
Hi all,
I have a 2009 Cayenne S and I’d like to stream music from my iPhone to the PCS through Bluetooth.
I’ve read a lot of threads, and it sounds like the PCS 3.0 doesn’t have the A2DP protocol.
My car also does not have an Aux or USB connector in the console.
I’ve seen people post about a Porsche to 30 pin iPod connector— does the PCS have a place inside that I could connect this cord to?

you then use a usb A2DP in aux or 30pin iPod to lightning converter
