iPhone 4 and PCM?
I have heard that the iPhone 3GS doesn't work with the PCM bluetooth (don't know if that's true or not). My iPhone 3G does. Does the new iPhone 4 work with the PCM bluetooth? (it's the latest PCM, 2010 997.2)

3GS iphone works fine in my 2010 w/pcm.
Both the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS have a known issue with PCM 3.
Both, however, can be made to work fairly easily with a simple fix.
I have both and ran into problems with PCM and have since discovered the solution.
The problem occurs when you spec your PCM with the SIM module.
With that installed and active, the phone you are trying to sync, be it iPhone or any other, must support a protocol called Sim Access Profile (SAP) in order to properly sync with PCM.
As the iPhone (3GS and 4) does not support SAP, it will not sync with PCM if you have the SIM module specced on your PCM.
The solution turned out to be very simple and it takes all of 5 minutes:
Go to your Porsche dealer and ask them to disable the PCM SIM Module through PIWIS.
Once you do, PCM reboots and you can then sync both versions of iPhone.
The contacts are automatically retrieved to your PCM and you can set it to automatically sync any subsequent changes to the contacts.
The calls are crisp and clear with the recipient of your call hearing you loud and clear.
If, however, you have a passenger in your car that would like to share in the conversation, the party at the other end of the line will not hear his/her voice well unless he/she raises their voice significantly. The microphone in the car seem to be optimized to the driver's position.
I hope this information is useful.

FWIW, I have had zero issues with the iPhone 3G, 3GS, or 4G syncing with PCM 3 in either my TT or Cayenne (all without a trip to the dealer). On the Cayenne, I have both my wife's iPhone and my iPhone synced so whenever I drive it I can use my phone. It seems to default to the last used phone when we have two phones in the vehicle.
Hello, I have problem to pair Iphone 4 to PCM 3.0 in my Cayenne. Going through the interactive steps, the PCM responded with "Registration successful" whilst on the Iphone; after entering the passkey, it responded with "connection unsuccessful" Any help and advise appreciated

+1, works fine in my 997.1TT with the newer PCM.
probably not related, but PCM 3 reverts to the metric system on occasion and have to set it back to miles/gallons/Farenheit...
