i have done almost 9000 miles, when should i be expecting a service indicator-

 

it has nothing to do with how many miles, its based on how the car is driven (over a given milage) and on how many miles you have (in total) on the odometer.as its dependant on the amount of abuse or lack of your car sustains.
you can access it through the "hidden menu" on the dash display, i think its just after the build date info.
please dont ask me how to access the hidden menu...as its been so long that i last did it ive forgotten the sequence....try a google to find out how.

when its time, a service indicator will pop up in the middle of your instru. cluster. i got mine round 2500 mi. and only the stealers can reset it.

 

I thought there is a software, duramax(sp?) that can reset the service indicator

 

Mine started showing I needed service in 1800 miles when I had a little over 8000 miles in it. I brought it in to the dealer today with 9800 miles and it said service in 200 miles. I called it the 10,000 mile service, the dealer called it the one year service.
