Winter tires???

I have a 09 Turbo S with 21 inch sport plus wheels with PCCB.

Any suggestion for winter tires. Is it necessary to downgrade the size of the wheels in order to put better winter tires?

Last winter I used 295/35R-21 Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow on a second set of stock wheels. They are great winter tires and I will be swapping them back on soon. I purchased mine from Damon@TireRack.

unless you are driving on soft, deep snow, it is not necessary to go downgrade the size of wheels. You should be fine with your wheels. Scorpion Ice & Snows are a good decision. I just put them back on and loving them..

Not sure about the clearance on a Turbo S, but I managed to fit a dedicated 18" winter setup of Pirelli Scorpion Ice & snows on my GTS and they plow through the deep stuff.

call sunset they have a winter tire package deal

Call Sunset Porsche in Oregon. They have the factory 18"turbo wheels (with center caps) and Dunlop grantek snows (which I happen to like) for 1200. The tires alone arbout a grand from tire rack. I just got a set from Sunset and was surprised for 1200. Great deal.

I called Sunset .. for a 2009 Turbo S they did not have any 18" wheelsets .. they did have a 20" techno sport set with Pirellis for $3200 + shipping .. more than I will spend for a winter setup
