Tires labeled N1 Porsche

Hi all,

Looking for some help in replacing the tires on my 08 Cayenne. I have the OEM Continental Contact 4x4 in 235/65/17. Tirerack.com has two versions of this tire listed, one at $187/ea and the other at $154/ea (special). Far as I can tell, the only difference is the $187 version has a "N1 Porsche" designation. Everything else looks identical - 108V rated, XL load, etc.

Is this just a Porsche-designated model for extra $$, or am I missing something here?

Thanks!

N1 is a Porsche specific tire...may or may not be worth the extra cost

There is no public information as to what the difference is, but here is the Tirerack page that talks about the N Spec tires

As for the Continental Contact 4x4 tires, I had them on my Touareg when new and I found them to be horrible. You should really look at another tire IMO. Contact damon@tirerack.com for some great advice, as well he is a forum sponsor.
