TransSiberia is infamous around these parts
Please accept my apologies in advance

I will try not to be harsh. As I see that you live in the NY area as I do, I must suggest that there are some distinct advantages to driving a Porsche that mitigate the apparent need to drag race a RRS. The build quality of the Porsche is much better and the ergonomics are better. In addition, the dearth of electronic glitches in the Cayenne as compared with the British glitchiness that is the owners experience with RR's generally far outweigh the small amount by which that RRS outran you. At the risk of incurring the wrath of some posters I have a second suggestion for the 5K that you would spend on de-civilizing your Cayenne. NY has a very wonderful 529 program into which you might deposit the money for your progeny.

I speak from some experience as I had an '05 MB G55 that I attempted to assist with some aftermarket parts from Kleemann due to AMG's inability to repair faulty headers in a timely fashion. The vehicle ate its tranny at 46K and was louder than a 747 taking off from LaGuardia. Please understand that this is not a criticism but rather an honest opinion suggesting that keeping these vehicles essentially stock might be the best option.

As always the above is, JMHO.

You know the old saying HP sells cars, Torque wins races!

I appreciate your comment. The rrss owner is a friend and since i owned a rrs hse, and thought the cayenne s felt quicker; i was disappointed at the outcome. But thanks for your advice, it's a wise one.
Speaking of 529 plan, can you set one up without a child? I guess i need to find a gf quickly.

you can in fact set one up w/o a child - you can use a 529 for a god child or other relative or for a future child, obviously if you invest in a 529 and NEVER have children or any children you care enough about to give it to then there are huge tax issues with taking it back out or revesting it somewhere useful... With that said, i would disagree, with the awesomeness of obamaflation about to start kicking in, you would be better off being in as much low interest debt as you can possibly be, do not sock away cash though - buy precious metals or convert it to debt so that when inflation takes off your debt dissolves...

Not that I feel like you need any financial coaching if you can afford to own and drive these cars properly you are probably doing okay
