anyone have instructions on removing the console?

Consoles off thnx, here's a pic of the cable, anyone know now what it's for?
Should it work with my iphone or ipod ('04 CS NAV)?

Looks like a standard RCA to audio mini-jack cable... should work with any audio device using a headphone jack or mini-jack line out. If using the headphone output however use low volume at first since it is a line-in connection most likely to the nav unit. If the volume is not high enough using the nav unit you can then adjust the headphone volume at the audio unit itself to compensate. Just a guess on my part though!

How is that connected to RCA's to the back of the 04 NAV? There aren't any RCA connections on the back of those units.
