PDCC Failure?

Twice in as many weeks, I received this message while driving - WARNING CHASSIS SYSTEM

The car leans like a ****ing tanker and the sport button is disabled.

Stop the car, shut off, restart, everything is fine. Guess I'll be calling the dealer this afternoon.

Took the car to Rockville Porsche here in MD. Haven't picked it up yet, but they called and told me the error was due to a stone lodged in the pins of one of the connectors. Problem solved.

There were 2 recalls, one related to airbags and the other PDCC. I'll post up the campaigns when I get the car back.

The dealer gave me a new (120 miles) Cayenne V6 as the loaner. I liked the touch screen navi vs. the older style on my 2008.

The campaigns performed were W907 and WA06. Not a ****ing clue what they were, since their single service advisor/manager/whatever was not around when I picked up my GTS.

I'm not impressed with their service overall - it was mediocre.

I told them to verify the programming and operation of the trailer hitch wiring, since I was not able to connect to 3 different trailers. 2 would give me the ! on the dash, the other one did absolutely nothing. Their answer was that it's the trailer.

The driver's seat squeaks when I push in the clutch. They claimed it was the seatbelt and adjusted it. Receipt says they verified no more squeaked. ****ing thing squeaked when I pushed in the clutch to start the car.

My car isn't smooth under 3200rpm. They couldn't reproduce. I didn't want to waste time road testing with them to demonstrate. I'll head to another dealer instead.

Guess I'll be heading up to Sun Motorcars, which is where I take my BMW.

They didn't seem to **** anything up, so I got that going for me... which is nice.

EDIT - Sweet chocolate jesus, how many words are censored on this board?

"Wow, this is the first manual we've seen."

why does your GTS have a leather boot? i thought the full leather came with alcantera shifter and boot?

when you say not smooth under 3,200 rpm - is that with sport selected?

My GTS doesn't have full leather.

It used to be rough accelerating from about 2000-3200rpm. It felt like knock events with the ECU pulling timing at part throttle. I don't know what they did during the service, but it appears to have fixed it.

Driving around the last 2 days it's been smooth, even with the ac on.

And yes that's in sport mode, I don't think I've driven it with sport mode off since the day I took delivery.

I don't think the dealer lost anything by you going to another dealer if you were not willing to spend a few minutes driving with them to show them the problem. If I were them I'd say "good riddance." I never met a dealer yet that did not want to fix your car.

I have been having the same chassis system faulty problem. I just had it in for the third time for this yesterday. The problem is VERY random but does throw a fault in the computer. Each time, they contact Porsche to see what to try next. It's a pain in the @ss but at least I KNOW they are doing everything within their power to try and fix it. Contrary to what some people believe, they (fill in any dealer's name) do want to fix my car. PM me if you want the service mgr's name at my dealership if your dealer has problems. At least they won't have to completely reinvent the wheel.

Did you read what I posted? The PDCC issue was an easy fix. I'm not sure what they did for the rough running, but the car is smoother now.

And you're wrong about them wanting to fix the car, Carnac. They blamed the wiring issue on the trailer and didn't want to fix it. They told me I should go to a trailer/RV shop.

gotta chime in with the sweet stick also cool!

begs the question, how is the tranny/shifting feel? smooth like buttah? clutch stiff or daily driver friendly?

does your trailer have LED lights? i've read that those will throw a ! code/fault. my memory is hazy but i thought i read that there's a workaround to having LED lights on the trailer?

question on the touchscreen. anyone price one? worth swapping an older one out for it?
