WayneE - can you post more details on the great deal you got on the GTS? Also, is it a tip or manual?

Thanks

Chris

Am I correct in saying that the back seat of the GTS only allows for car seats to be installed on the sides? I seem to recall that the sport seats are raised on the seat bottom and I would think that would interfere with child seat installation. At least it isn't as bad as, say, the BMW X6 where it isn't even an option. Either way, the center is the safest place for a child seat if you have one child.

I agree...I want the car seat in the middle. How much should I expect for oil changes and such?

Up here dealers charge ~$450 but they include a visual inspection.
Decent shop will charge ~$150
DIY ~$105

Keep in mind that the recommended oil change interval is 15,000 Km!
1 mile= 1.6 Km

The cayenne S rear seats better suited to baby car seats.

2008 GTS manual leftover w/97 miles, I paid $63k. Not a ton of options, but I think it has the right ones for me. The only thing missing is ipod/BT, but that's not too bad to add aftermarket (although I've been too lazy to do it )

I was under the same impression - that a booster of car seat wouldn't work in the middle seat due to the bolsters...

Might you be able to snap a pic or two?

I can take pics later on....our guy is 17months now and is in a traditional car seat, in the middle, sitting forward.

We have a Britax Boulevard, and you do have to overlap onto the other seats a tiny bit but can be done. When our baby was really young, the Graco Snugride and adapter fit perfectly.

I haven't done it, but you could always get one of these to protect the seat and to help it fit more uniformly:

I would *love* to go with GTS, but I couldn't justify the price tag. But now it has been 2 years since GTS was introduced in the market, you might be able to find more used ones with very reasonable price tag.

Depends if this is your only vehicle. If so, by all means, go for the GTS or turbo. If you have another go-fast toy, the S will suffice.

So lets ask it this way - 2006 Turbo or 2008 GTS?
