GTS without a doubt

I have decent seat time in an 2006 turbo and less in an 08 Turbo S, but the most cayenne time in an 08' GTS. It is the BMW "M" of the Cayenne lineup. It's all about the suspension (which I have always felt is the definitive characteristic that impacts a car's character). Whereas the Turbo's setup attempts to be a jack of all trades, the GTS' is more focused. It is lower than a turbo and thus rides more car like. It steers and feels lighter from the driver's seat than a turbo. Its a very quick car, whereas the turbo is fast, but honestly, I drive fast and 400 hp in the cayenne is enough for that chassis. Beyond that you are bending the laws of physics and in the process really stressing the equipment. The fact that the GTS is almost 1/2 the price of a loaded Turbo S also doesn't hurt. IMHO as a porsche guy, the GTS is undoubtedly the Cayenne most deserving of the crest on its bonnet.

GTS all the way!

the Cayenne GTS handles better considering the manual has a faster acceleration and gives off better sound
tiptronic S - 6.1
manual gts - 5.7
the stock 1st generation Cayenne Turbo would be close to the manual GTS' stats 5.7 62 mph and 157 mph

also the S doesn't seem to have the ability to drift continuously , the GTS has a more efficient engine than you would think the S has :O
GTS also sounds a lot louder specially with Cargraphic Import Loud Exhaust and Cargraphic Secondary Cats with BMC Air Filters

http://paultan.org/2008/07/19/porsch...otional-video/

the 3rd video you'll see the Cayenne GTS drift like Tanner does in speed tv

but remember that always have PDCC and manual transmission with it

although I am guessing the new sport cayenne's next year would already have launch control
but for sure the GTS won't come out as soon as when the new generation comes out
always go for the special colors GTS Red or Nordic Gold but I think the nordic looks like a gold digger lol

FUEL:
1. Cayenne GTS (City - 19.4 1/100km) , (Highway - 11.7 1/100km) , (Combined - 15.9 1/100 km)

2. Cayenne Turbo (City - 18.0 1/100km) , (Highway - 10.7 1/100km) , (Combined - 14.7 1/100km)

3. Cayenne S (City - 16.3 1/100km) , (Highway - 10.5 1/100km) , (13.7 1/100km)

the results are amazing the Cayenne GTS

more drive.
more efficiency.

I have a hard time believing the GTS (either auto, manual or magic stick) and the 1st gen Turbo have the same acceleration performance. I could be wrong but what are the stock 1/4 mile times and, more importantly, the trap speeds for the two? 0-60 times mean very little unless you're just racing to the other side of the intersection.

The S has all leather on its seating surface, which is a plus if you have a kid. At some point, the kid is going to throw up or you'll spill something.

GTS...Think about resale value also...down the road, the S's are a dime a dozen and prices reflect that. GTSs are a little harder to find one that is "right" trust me I'm looking right now and they are holding more value. Just my .02 but I go through vehicles every couple years... hehe
