Has anyone experienced this. Did a quick search but found nothing. I have an 04 CS, and after the car sits in the garage for the night; the next morning the interior smells like gas.

I originally thought it was the heated seats but I now think that this smells only happens when the car is driven in the rain (It's been raining over here), then sits for over a couple of hours. Wondering if someone knows where the smell might be coming from? Nothing serious the odor goes away but just found it strange.

 

My best guess.
Under those circumstances, gas could enter the cabin if there was a small breach somewhere around the inside of the gas filler door compartment area.
When the rain gets in it may wash off some of the gas residue and seep it inside the vehicle. Look and feel inside the right rear compartment for any signs of moisture.

Thanks Road Runner, i'm going to check on that. I had the car parked outside and when i bring it in, i'll check the right side.

@acasshmoney- nope i'm in Northern California. I heard it's raining in So Cal but it's raining real hard up north.
