Three alerts at the same location? 9500ix locks them out - no more false alarms. I can also block out X-band radar since it is not used here in Colorado.

This is a question I have been researching for ages.
I keep going between the 9500ci and the Valentine 1 with the m47 blinders added as a laser protection.
It seems the owners of each are extremely happy with each and prmote them as proficient in their tasks. In the end I need to make a decission and just go forward.
I think the 9500ci goes for 1500 or so without install.
I am curious what each cost with hardwire install.

If you know for a fact that X band isn't used then you might as well disable it. If you're unsure, Auto mode will modify the sensitivity based on your speed, and even then it's very unlikely that you'll get a false alert.
Good point. 9500xi has no need for a city mode or highway mode. The speed reading off the GPS solves that annoyance.
I had a drive for an extended amount of time, including the infamous cop swamp area Redding, CA. When I was driving through, I had both 9500ix, and V1 (from my friend on). In many occasion, the 9500ix reports nothing where as the V1 gives me something to pay more attentions to. In other occassions, neither gives any detection about cops until it was too late. At one point, my eyes spotted the cop faster than the 9500ix had reported. So, I ended up not trust any of them. One thing 9500ix is good at is its ability to report speed traps. But it doesn't tell u the direction of its reporting, cop or other things, unlike the V1. So, I dont have a good experience with either detectors, i feel like neither really protects ur from anything really. Just drive smart by following someone is a much smarter choice
