real HID kit for fog lights

So,,, I've been thinking about doing this for a while, installing the real HID kit for fog lights, but while searching for this topic, I ran across few comments about the fog light faulty warning msg when the real HID kit was installed, and some commented that they didn't.

I would like to hear from anyone here who ran into a fog light warning msg on the dash.

or has anyone successfully installed real HID kit on fogs w/o having problems?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, did you try 35W or 55W version?

What was the problem you ran into? just simply wouldn't turn on?

go with a drop in replacement, HID is overkill and you will run into all kinds of issues with the onboard computer, even 55w is not a sure fix. I run the Hoens but PIAA is another good choice. Cheap, easy to install.

I think they were 55 W, but they simply did not work even with a little relay that the shop recommend to install. I finish using some pep boys 4000. They do not light in white or blue buy they do light much more than the fabric ones and no codes . Hope that help.
