About a month into owning an '06 and been experiencing random disk read problems. Cleaned the disk etc. Doesn't seem right ... is this normal?

Also, has anyone tried replacing the dvd with an external harddrive? As i type this it dawns on me that the dvd could fit on a usb stick ... any adaptors out there?
