still torn between the new cayenne turbo or a brand new, or slightly used 2010...
What would you all recommend and why?
Does anyone know for sure, if the new model Cayenne is going to be bigger or smaller than the current?
From the looks of everything I can find, it looks smaller.
I recently saw all the models driving around west Denver last week. They black out the car to keep it under cover, but when 4 of them roll past you you know those are the new models...
Have the GTS 2008, just wondering what I should do next.
Price will come into play, but to get that out in the open now, so it's not a suggestion, obviously new is more $$ and 2010 is less money. Done and done...
I mainly care about the model differences/power/size, ex......
Thanks,
Jason

I am considering a 2009-2010 turbo or turbo s, or 2011 turbo.
The 8 speed sounds nice as well as the other changes but the first year of a remodel makes me nervous.
I would hold off if the new cayenne was bigger without question but if
it's smaller it would be too small for me. My fears.....
I can get used turbo/s used under 15k Miles mint condition from the auctions for cheap IMHO compared to what I paid for my gts brand new....price isn't my main concern. Just don't know....
All chime in don't be shy.

I would just hold off doing anything and just keep the current Cayenne and then buy 2013 or 2014 cayenne.
Like you've already mentioned, you are being used as a beta tester for the first or two years of new model.

By bigger do you think they are going to use the Audi Q7 platform or come out with another one? The VW group has the Tiguan (smaller), Touareg and Cayenne (midsize) and the Q7 (larger).
Love this forum and people here, I learned a lot.
I have a CTT love it. If money is not a concern, definitely the newest one, 2011 Turbo. Its true there may be some bugs, but I don't think its going to be like the first generation. Porsche should have fine tuned the Pig by now even if is a new design; its been more than 8 years since their first try at SUV. Anyway, even with a slightly used 2009 - 2010 is still luck of the draw with dealer service time. The only reason I can think of not getting the first new model is if I plan to keep it for a long time, even after warranty is over. Hard to beat a brand spanking new model with good reviews so far. Imagine the envy you get from fellow porsche lovers, including me. From what I've read is not smaller, it is actually 1 inch or so longer wheelbase, not sure. I think the rear seats can slide back a bit also. Let us know what you decide.

When they changed the original Cayenne TT 955 to the bigger engine 957 in 08' nobody really was questioning it? I know we are talking about body change as well on this go around but wait until they come and go test drive one; really test drive one, I have a feeling they are going to be quite impressive!

Haven't sat in one yet but the ones I saw driving disguised looked smaller than current. If that's the case I couldn't manage with a smaller vehicle. If it was bigger I would wait. Of not bigger or at least equal to current I will upgrade to a turbo or turbo s of current.
Wish I knew....

My personal take is that if you need to upgrade, go with the new model, since you are covered under warranty anyway. I had the first year Range Rover Sport and had no issues whats so ever. Being the one of the first to have drive a new model is priceless.
I am Torn, so i shall break this indecisiveness you are having! I say go for the 2010 Cayenne Turbo and call it a night! I simply hate waiting, I see it as a live today for you never know what is in store for tomorrow! I say get the 2010 Turbo and enjoy that beast and if and when the 2011 turbo is release and you like it, you could always trade up after the first year models :P. Good Luck with the decision though, buddy. You can't really go wrong in either choice
From what I have seen it looks like the new face lifted Cayenne has a Panamera 'like' interior. I personally felt a little claustrophobic with the center console, if this is the case I wont like the new Cayenne. But it is all subjective until the vehicle comes out, new electronics and goodies are always nice.
How much will the 2011 Cayenne Turbos effect the prices for all previous models? specifically 2008-2009 Turbo's.
For instance is it far fetched to think you're able to find a 2008 Cayenne Turbo for 50-60k once the 2011 start to roll around?
Thanks
