Guys,

I have an '04 CTT.
Lately when I switch on the Radio the screen says "System Error - Check Amplifier, CD Changer and Phone".
Have troubleshooted by replacing the AMP and Changer but to no avail.
Any advice is much appreciated as driving without Music is NO fun

Check the computers. I had one of them replaced for inability to hold pre-sets. The part ALONE was >$1,700.

 

Did they have to remove the whole screen to do that or was it the cars ecu?

 

Heck if I know. Service Manager said it was easy to pop it in.

 

Will bring this to the shop again and get them to check the computer.
Inputs from anyone else??

 

Since the error message includes power, maybe check fuses? You've probably already done that. We are stuck with computer diagnostics on these. It's worth an hour of labor to get it right.

 

Tried that today at the indi work shop.
Tested all the fuses on both left and right but to no avail.
Computer shows no error code which is surprising cause the radio scree shows the error.
He thinks it may be the unit itself..
Gonna cost a BOM if I have to replace this as carr's out of warranty

 

Get the diagnosis. Find out the part number and give Suncoast a call. Hopefully, your mechanic will be adequately trained & willing to allow you to get the part (cheaper) elsewhere.
