Ever heard of this one?

I pull away from start up and the car locks all doors, then randomly it will seem like it is trying to lock the doors again and again every few seconds.

It has happened off and on for a few days now.

All doors are fully closed.

yea u should def. have that checked cause it's obviously an electronic error

 

I think it's called door actuator.

 

I dropped it off at my shop today for an alignment update and they found that the passenger door lock switch was faulty. New one is on order.

 

I'm having the same problem but the vehicle has already been to the shop and the problem is persisting. Even drained the battery as it was doing it in the drive way. Was the sound specific to one door or was it all of them that was doing it? Is all of mine that seem to be firing

All doors were firing. Somehow they determined it was the driver's side rear door. Changed out the lock mechanism switch and it fixed it. Best of luck.

 

yup, acuator issue, been there done that in other cars, but not with German cars yet. (had the same problem on my Acura/Honda)

 

Thanks for that was worried when the noise was coming from all doors. Good to know this is normal with a actuator issue on one specific door. Booked in again on Wednesday so fingers crossed they get it this time.
