Try again. I got these from Tirerack 2 days ago!!! I went with a slightly larger tire, 275/45 instead of 275/40, just to preserve the ride and fill out the wheel wells a little.

Those looks excellent congrats!

I just picked up some SSR GT3 rims and will put them on my Titanium (colored) CTT hopefully tomorrow! Wheels make a very nice improvement...

Stupid question.... what does the offset refer to? I am about to start looking for some wheels for my wife's Cayenne S.

Offset is the distance in mm that the mounting surface of the wheel sits relative the centerline of the wheel. A positive offset value of "x" (which is the vast majority of wheels) means that the mounting surface is "x"mm towards the outside of the wheel's centerline.

Look at two wheels for instance:

A 9" wide wheel with a 60mm offset and the same 9" wheel with a 54mm offset. The one with a 54mm offset will sit out 6mm closer to the fender than one with a 60mm offset.

Now.....suppose the same model wheel also came in a 9.5" width. At a 60mm offset on this wheel, the outside of the wheel will have the same relationship to the fender as the 9" wheel with a 54mmm offset.

It's pretty straightforward geometry once you figure out what the numbers mean.

There is lot more to consider than just offset however. You really need to know the specific geometry of a given wheel to see whether or not it will clear the brakes.
