My guess is that it uses the radar system from the adaptive cruise for accident warning, or something like that. Anyone know what the system does and how it works? I turned on the prewarning and a little yellow icon showed up a couple times (next to the time and temp in this pic) but not really sure what it means.

Suppose I could read the manual, but I don't have it handy now... and anyways, who reads manuals
