Value on 2008 GTS 6spd manual
I'm looking at an E63 AMG wagon to replace my 08 GTS. The dealer offered me $46k on trade. Carmax offered me $47k.
Edmunds and KBB both say $50-52k trade.
My car is clean, inside and out, w/23,000 miles. It's optioned for enthusiasts with the 6spd manual and PDCC. It also has the factory trailer hitch installed.
Here is the original window sticker:

Are those trade in offers what I should expect?

The Cayenne, especially the higher end ones, drops like a rock the first couple years and continues to go down although at a slower rate. What they are offering is not good, but to be expected especially with the new model being out already.
WayneE, I tried to pm you, but I dont have enough posts yet.
I am interested in buying your GTS if you have not traded it in yet. email me 884487 at gmail.com if not let me know where you traded it in so I can have at go at it with the dealer. Thanks Jarrad

Nice...I'll come up to Colorado and do a twofer deal...though not digging the newer ones, too feminine looking and not aggressive enough for my taste but with that said awesome interior
Always remember that the "trade-in" values that are posted by Edmunds, Kelley Blue Blook, etc, are NEVER representative of true trade-in values. I don't know where this information comes from or why it is posted.
What you will be offered on a trade is the AUCTION VALUE of the car. This pricing is not made readily available to the public. I don't know why, but it is treated like some big secret in the car industry. This is the price that the dealer will be able to get for the car at a wholesale auction, and I have never found a dealer who will give you more than auction value on a trade unless they have a prospective buyer lined up already for your incoming vehicle.
