'11 Cayenne S Electrical/PCM Issues

Just picked up my '11 Cayenne S (and it has both PTV Plus and PDCC to all those still debating if getting both is worth it!). Here's the reason for this post: Had a PTM fault after 170 miles - was able to reset it per the manual (found it under the battery sections) - then had a one time Light fault - which went away after a restart. To top it off, the radio presets of my Satellite reset themselves - it kept #1 but cleared the rest - I reprogrammed them and they cleared again (except #1) - reprogrammed #2 and #3 last night again and will check this morning to see if they are still there. YES, I know I need to get the car back to the dealer if these things keep happening but I wanted to reach out on this forum to see if anyone else has had these or any other electrical issues. Other than that, LOVE this car (and happy I got rid of my RRSC to get it)

I had some supposed weird issues with mine where I stored stations and then they went back? I was confused. I think I narrowed MY issue to the seat memory buttons on the door. They seemed to not only remember the seat but every other thing that was going on in car when it was programmed, including the station and volume?! Not sure if that helps, or maybe Im confused about my own car?

you know, that makes sense b/c the volume went up and down in addition to other oddities that I'd forgotten - I'll play around w/ the memory buttons and the key to see if that helps - thanks.

Took me a week or so to figure out how to set the seat memory button in my '11 S and all that it controls. Still not sure what all it sets but I have not noticed any of your issues. I probably should have read the manual.......

I have had the same issues on my "S" and also the Comfort Entry and Exit does not work all the time. The car has stopped losing most of it's settings regarding XM, sound etc but the map settings on the PCM such as XM Traffic are sometimes there and sometimes not. You can reset the system to factory defaults but I have not tried this as I do not know if this will address these issues.

I have been told that there is a service bulletin for the Comfort Entry and Exit that will solve the issued. Also, the Lane Change Assist, another fix is out there as many of them are malfunctioning.

its all tied into the memory settings - every time I make any change, or set any station, etc., I make sure to save the memory seat settings, 1 & 2, so that the settings stick.

The "fault" issues, however will be a wait and see.

That's the solution...

The Sat radio kept changing on mine until I set the memory option again, since it was resetting the memory, understandably it put the all back to its memory preset. I have another issue: In the manual, it says that you can set the mirrors to fold in when you lock the car, however, when I tried to set this function, it doesn't exist on the car! I checked twice to make sure that I wasn't reading the panamera portion, I didn't. Is anyone familiar with this?

On my "S" the manual says to hold the lock button for one second while locking and the mirrors will fold in. I tried this and it works and the mirrors move back to their memory position once the car is started. Another quirk I found was you are unable to assign a function to the multi-function button on the steering wheel. If you follow the instructions in the manual the assignment function is not listed in the menu of options.

Does your CS have the 14-way or 18-way seats with memory?

Good to know, thanks for the info!
