Certainly get what you like! I went black in past and NOT going back. As a daily driver, no way, can't keep clean and it irks me to drive around a nice vehicle that doesn't look clean.

I ordered meteor gray. I had it on a 997TT and it worked out well. My wife thinks it matches the house. Seriously, for a daily driver it always looks clean! Only after you wash it and the mirror finish returns do you realize how dirty it was. Its a neutral color and not for everyone.

w00tPORSCHE: I have no reference to compare the noise and thermal insulating glass to. Given the JBM exterior and black interior, I was fearful of a hot interior in the summer. Since it is now almost the winter here, I will not know how effective the insulation will be. The interior of the Cayenne is very quiet, but I am not sure if the noise insulation is the reason for the quiet interior.

However, my dealer did indicate that with the insulation, the interior EZ Pass toll tag will not work. He had contacted Porsche, and Porsche recommended the installation of an external tag. My dealer denied that there is a cutout near the rearview mirror for a toll tag, which was a feature mentioned by another thread posting. Other threads had indicated that interior radar detectors will have diminished sensitivity due to the insulation. So, I am considering installing another Escort 9500ci into the Cayenne, given my lead foot.

I really appreciate everyone's input here. I am slowly moving away from JBM and leaning towards white or classic silver metallic. Black looks best clean and shiny .. I don't have the patience anymore to wash and wax everyday let alone the snow, salt, and ice damage winter can do to a black car.

I just really want to order the umber/cream interior and feel that the silver would be a better fit then the white.

Thank u Gamma. That much black should convince my wife ... Now I just have to ensure that I dim the garage lighting and hide all the magnifying lenses.

Well, I agree with FJS961, if GTS Red was available I would have gone for it in a heartbeat. Given the present choices yes, I would definitely get JBM again. If you're into lower maintenance, consider Meteor Gray or even silver. The blue, in my opinion is too dark, might as well just go for the black.

JB and JBM need extra care , no auto-carwash that's a given, even when you handwash it you cannot use the matts or sponge in a circular motion otherwise swirls will show. i see many black cars on the road which are squeaky clean, but full of swirls, to me that's worse than not washing the car.

unless you are ready to spend time taking care of it and take it out for detailing, i would stay away from black cars.

Yes! Always back and forth washing, preferably along the long axis of the car. I've been using a microfiber wash mitt, seems to keep the swirl marks down. If you're desperate to get the salt off, the brushless/touchless car washes will work, but they don't get the deep grime off, but don't be tempted by a car wash with brushes, or even the so called brushless where the dirty strips of chamois or whatever beat against your car.

They are saying February build (if I am lucky) but March for sure. So I am guessing that we can expect the ride in March/April. At first I was in a huge rush but now they can take their time, I need to save up a bit

Uhn, thats a killer exterior/interior combo. Now just have to order some umber floor mats to keep all that cream clean. Loving your performance upgrades and pana roof. Why compass and porsche entry and drive may I ask ?

I agree, great choice! It probably comes with umber mats, as my espresso/cognac has espresso mats. The compass is way cool, beautifully backlit bezel. Also displays altitude and bearing w/ digital readout in the center.

Gamma: don't make me wish I had thrown the compass in there! :-)
