I'll jump in and keep reading. Replaced my coolant pipes and trans seal (2 days after coolant pipes were fixed) at about 70k miles.

thanks for the response yaser.. and for the additional info Cole..
i was thinking, does the mileage contribute to these pipes bursting, breaking? are these "plastics" that eventually get brittle over time (years + mileage) and this happens?

or are these "special" plastics that supposedly can withstand years + mileage? or is it because of the chemical(s) that goes thru these pipes.

mine is a 06 TT-S with 32k miles.. saving enough (and not driving it much) so i can have these replaced with alum pipes.. now, will having these installed in an indie shop (buying parts online) is as good as having these installed in a dealership (with 2 yrs, unlimited miles warranty)?

arrghh.. i wish PCNA would just take this, as what they did with the coils..

I am glad to see this issue addressed. I cannot count how many people I know had this problem. Really poor design.

Did the OP throw chum in the water to watch us frenzy? Seams like its time for this lad to chime back in. If not and/or in addition to, I can setup an online webform to register complaints from ALL forums and after a certain number of registers we can just hand it off to a lawyer. My 05 is still running on plastic so I am happy to participate.

Any update from the OP on this?

I want in as well. I brought this up with my dealer when I still had my CPO and they declined to replace it. I'm at 73K and afraid that it might burst soon.

Has anyone actually had success in getting a dealer to preemptively replace the coolant pipes. I have a 2006 Turbo S and the pipes are beginning to show seepage. I was quoted the $1500 price stated by many others. I am debating whether to get rid of the vehicle as I do not want to pay for this repair.

Note to self: Do not buy Cayenne from heinekenlover10

Buy the kit from Sunset for $450 and find a shop to do it for couple hundred....

Whoa! You would dump a vehicle and potentially lose 10s of thousands more just to avoid paying for a 1 time $1500 repair?

Mine leaked first so I was able to get it to the dealer to replace under CPO before anything else was damaged. Of course I recently had to fix a few vacuum lines on it that the gorillas at Momentum Prosche must have cracked and definitely routed incorrectly when they put it all back together.

I assure you I would not be loosing money on the transaction I have had the vehicle for the last two years on a used vehicle lease. My lease is up in Feb and I have the option to buy. So dumping the car cost me nothing its a matter of if I think the buy price plus the cost of the repair is worth it or do I want to get something else for the same money.
