Decided to go with the non-smoker package when i ordered today. Do we lose the 12v in the center consule in between the cup holders? Description only says "Ashtray replaced by additional storage compartments." Anyone have a clue what this looks like? Covered, open, same size as ashtray?

I have the non-smokers package and you do NOT lose the 12 volt in the cup holders.

Having the phone there is nice but it gets in the way of my shifting if I'm not using the shifter on the wheel. I usually put the phone in the cup holder, but then again it gets in the way of sliding the arm rest up.

 

non-smoker is standard for all 2012 models and no you will not lose any 12V. enjoy!

 

As others have said, you don't loose the 12V outlet. I have the same.

 

i don't get what the suncoast part does? I just took the ash liner out of the compartment and my iphone fits fine. What am i missing?

 

Yes, you keep the 12v outlet in between the cup holders. So, you can have a drink cup in there, or plug in your iThing charger. But not both. Keep the cover on that 12v outlet so when you have a drink you don't slurp some down into the outlet.

Has to be one of the dumbest designs I've ever seen.
