2006 Cayenne

Recently tried to purchase a 2008 Cayenne but the deal fell through. In my new search I have found 2 - 2006 Cayenne's at another dealer. One has 92k and the other has 102k. Does anyone have experience with a high mileage Cayenne?
Also, do the sixes have the coolant tube issues? or are there any other specific issues with the 2006 model?
Thank You.

I have an '04 S that we bought this past Christmas eve and it had a little over 99,000 miles on it. It's now over 101,300 miles and is doing great. We knew ahead of time by checking out the service records, but the coils were replaced as were the coolant lines. So we didn't need to worry about those issues. Having always purchased new cars in my life, I was hesitant about a very used one but am so glad we did it. It was very well cared for and seeing all of the service records helped. Do some homework about the vehicle and that should help. I would also have a PPI done, as well. Good luck.

Thank you for the reply, sounds promising.
The ones I am looking at are 6 cylinder, do they have the coolant tube issue?

Drive an 8 cyl before you buy. The gas mileage is almost the same but the power sure isn't. I wouldn't even consider a 6 if I was to buy another. Yes, 06's will still have the plastic coolant pipes. They should be done...try and make it part of the deal.

Good suggestion, in thought the 6 cylinder version avoided the coolant pipe issue. Is there a year they are not a problem?

Thank You

Im at 110k miles and I am the single owner on my 06 Base..........no coolant tube issues or cracked coils. Price point at that mileage and age.........GET AN S. GET an S get an S.....

Im not willing to eat 8k in loss to trade up yet so I can wait another year or 2 then jump into a moderately priced following.

06 Turbo to 08 Turbo or 10-11 S.......just depends.

My wife is pretty good at car stuff, when I was looking around for Cayenne V6, her comment was,,, (no offense to V6 owners) "why buy VW built engine car w/ Porsche name tag on? it's like buying fake LV or Prada!"
We ended up getting CS
