Several Questions excuse the Newbness

I recently purchased a Porsche Cayenne S with 58k. Drove it back 600 miles to my house. The left side headlight went out, I figured out it was the faulty connection, so I removed the Headlight tightened the mounting bracket screws and tried putting the headlight back in..but I the mounting bracket cracked so I ordered the new bracket. Went to pick it up from the dealership and on the way back Coolant Pipes exploded lol... So as you can tell not having the best of luck with the cayenne but hopefully its just these things and the rest of the journey will be pleasant.

So now the questions.

I know a reputable shop that quoted me $350 for labor on the coolant pipes.

Is there a place I can find the plastic coolant pipes? All I have been able to locate is the 600 dollar upgraded aluminum coolant pipe kit and I am kind of on a budget.

Also I am now due for the 60k maintenance so I was wondering what all is absolutely necessary.

Oil change
Cabin Filter
Spark plugs
Air filter
Drive Belt

am i missing anything else?

How important is it to change the drive belt and spark plugs.. could I maybe go another 10k without changing them?

Also Is it reccomended to change the torque converter seal with the coolant pipes?

All your help is greatly appreciated. I did use the search feature on the forum but I couldnt find all the exact information so I decided to make this thread.

Thanks again

Hehe, sounds a lot like I did when I bought my old 04 S. You're gambling at a higher blinds table than you would be with a domestic car... your call on buying that truck will cost you for upkeep and everything else.

I am a thrifty man, and I could not help but spare no expense with my CS. I did however manage to sandblast my spark plugs to save on that front. Replacing the pipes with alum. ones is more or less working backwards... If you are shelling out for labor, do it right the first time so that you dont have to replace them again later. All just my .02, but realistically, I wouldn't have purchased the truck if I wasn't willing to maintain it to the fullest extent man. My wife has left me many a loud conversations to ponder when it came to repairing my rides, but the only way I didn't feel guilty was having the peace of mind in knowing that it was done right.

The above link has been the least expensive place I have found. I have not yet purchased, but did leave a voice mail, but they never returned my call.

I bought inside air filter from pelican and changed that filter in 10 minutes.

For engine there are two filters and you can buy those at pelican ~$20 each. Those will take about 20 min to change.

For the S you need to change plugs at 60k or 5 years. I hear this is easy but I have not had time to change these. I bought plugs and coils from pelican 3 weeks ago.

I have a 05 S with 40k miles

10K miles is not really that much. I dont see why not. Give your belt a good look over for cracking though.

Are you sure the link posted above for the coolant kit has all the components needed fort the swap? Because on another forum I read those kits are missing a couple of pieces.

also I saw these coolant hoses at pelican. Would this just replace the oem ones or no? They seem like they should
