The color changes quite a bit depending on the light.

 

I absolutely LOVE that color. I would have ordered it in a heartbeat were it not for the exhorbitant price! I was ordering a V6- I guess it is easier to accept when spec'ing out a higher priced car.

The color on your R8 looks even hotter!

Congrats. First on 6speed to own a Amethyst metallic Cayenne. Must be nice to have two different shades of egg plant in your garage. Definitely different than the run of the mill colors. I am sure pics don't do justice to this color.

 

Yeah the two purples are totally different. Much more blue in the Audi and more red in the Porsche. Pictures dont do either justice.

On the day I picked up my car, there was the only other Amythest Cayenne I'd ever seen parked right next to it. It was anohter customers new hybrid.

 

We must share the same dealer as I saw both of these Amythest Cayennes there although the hybrid was on the floor at the time with the new owners finishing paperwork. The color is great, somewhat subtle in low light but really shines in sunlight. Great combined with the EC interior. Made my meteor grey/black, which I love, look bland side by side.
