Bose is crap compared with Mark Levinson.

Solve the final dilemma today . Went to the dealership and listened to bose system for 20 minutes . It sounded very muffled and dull compared with mark levinson in my Lexus . It made the decision very easy . Upgraded back to burmester. I am going save some cash by not getting 6CD changer and Xm (1500 bucks almost).

I ended up with XM because I wanted the navigation unit's weather and traffic functions. Those were 2 things that I thought cool about PCM 3.1. Even though I don't listen to the XM radio that much, having the other aspects work was worth it for me.

What weather is displayed? Forecast, radar? I was not aware of this feature.

The forecast (detailed as well as 3 day forecast), weather warnings, and current weather as part of the navigation map when zoomed to the required size.

ok thanks. Hope you are enjoying your Cayenne. I see from a previous post you got the 19" turbo II wheels. Did you get the CS? Color? How was the Leith experience.

I ended up with a Cayenne V6. Black with Standard Black interior. Premium Package Plus, Bose, 19" Turbo Wheels, High-gloss trim, model deletion, non-smokers package and trailer hitch. It's awesome!

Leith was fantastic. My consultant kept me informed at every step. The car was completed on April 13th and I picked it up on May 10. That was fast! I can't recommend them enough.

good to know. Looks like Premium Pkg. Plus for me as well. Did you demo the truck with and without air suspension or did you just go for it?

I drove a CS with air suspension and the hybrid without. For my purposes, the 19" wheels provide a good handling comfort mix without the complexity of air suspension. I'm planning on keeping this one for a while and after Mercedes-Benz air suspension nightmares, don't want to deal with fixing it or towing the car or replacing air suspension parts after warranty.

Doesn't the Premium package plus come with air suspension?

Edit: Ok double checked. Not on the Base.

Well......No plans to sell for another 7-10 yrs . Wife will be handling it after 5 yrs .
People buying 7yr old car rarely care for XM . I need to cut the cost down somewhere . Premium plus package , burmester ,noise insulated glass . The v6 is reaching the S price window already .You can always hook up the extra little XM dongle box.

No speed or power driver here. This is my first German car .I plan on buying an Audi R8 after 4-5 yrs, for the nascar driver in me . This will be wife 's vehicle . A good music system is must for me . I drive 25 miles to work each day and go for long trips. V6 is good for me coming from Lexus.
