I do this also, but for me 2500 rpm on the highway is almost 70 mph!

never clocked it but warm up does seem to take a bit long. Generally start the car then put on seatbelt and settle in with checking mirrors, electronics etc so she runs anywhere from 20-60 seconds before I go. Also drive relatively gently until i see the temp gauges starting to move but don't have a particular threshold before I'll jump on it.. Fully warmed, the eng temp sits at 180 in any season (NY based).

I would agree with the slightly longer than average warm up times. I did the coolant pipe swap myself and replaced the thermostat while I was in there. In the end it made little improvement with warm up time. Maybe 20% better??? That experience is contrary to every other car I've had. Traditionally 6 year old cars don't heat as quick as when new; replacing the thermostat typically makes it work like new. Not so much with the Cayenne.

It's not objectionable, just a little longer than most...

Are we all talking about oil or coolant temps here?
