What a great set of posts... thanks for passing them along. Amazing how diverse a landscape there is across the US. Looks like the CS performed with flying colors as well!

Great Story

Many similarities here.
Your story has inspired Me and the Little Woman to do the trip. I have a few weeks comin'.
I'm originally from Toronto...
Have a black Cayenne...
Want to do the 66...

I'll be adding to my 62k well maintained miles before March, if this initial concept works out. I get the bonus of leaving from nyc.

Your pictures make me feel like I'm on vacation.

Those weren't mine.. I did take a photo log of our trip across the US, up the west coast and then back this summer.. I'll have to dig it out. I tried to include the Cayenne in as many pics as I could get away with (SWMBO was on the trip..)

It is a great ride in the Cayenne - did about 9,000 miles and never had a problem except a burned out side marker bulb someplace in North Dakota. Luckily - it's a common bulb. Cost to fix was $0.99.
