New CTT Owner

Hello,

Joined a couple weeks ago, but figured I'd wait till the sale was final before the proper introduction.

I recently purchased sinister05CTT's 2005 Cayenne Turbo. I come from a primarily-Subaru background (having owned seven Subies since 1996), so I'm not new to the AWD / Turbo concept. But I have a lot to learn about this vehicle. I'll be spending a lot of time on these boards absorbing as much info as I can.

I guess I should mention this isn't my first Porsche. I owned a '74 914 many many years ago.

I've attached a few "look what I bought" pics, but we'll wash it and take some proper ones soon. Of course, sinister05CTT has a bunch on here somewhere as well.

Thanks, and I look forward to learning everything I can about the Cayenne.

Specs as it sits currently:

Black/black with wood trim interior
Upgraded cooling pipes professionally done by 3zero3 motorsports
Secondary cat bypass
Muffler delete done by PFI Performance
All silver trim has been vinyl'd black
Spoked black 20" wheels
Custom red rear badges
10% window tint all around

So far I concur on all these points. Especially the rattle-free part!

Haha, right on. I'm actually holding on to my FXT. It;s got a ton of mods and a ton of miles, so I really wouldn't get anything for it. Plus it's gonna (continue to) make a great daily driver.

Very nice - I think the wood looks great with the black interior and it looks like you have quite a nice, unique grain on the steering wheel wood. Congrats & best of luck with it - they're such great drivers I'm sure you'll enjoy it immensely! I just bought my GTS a couple of months ago and put 4K miles on it already. I find myself just taking it out for joy rides once in a while because it drives so well! I hope that wears off soon though - it's costing me a mint in gas! I appreciate it more and more every time I drive it.

Saw your bike list too - very cool. I've had a softail and a fatboy and am thinking about picking up another bike for next summer. How do you like the Buell? I imagine it's a blast to ride with that torquey v-twin. Always thought they were way cool but never had the chance to ride one...

Congrats! I also picked my beast (04 CTT) up a few months ago and I am loving it. I'm still surprised sometimes when I step on it and it takes off like a 5k pound rocket! have fun.
