'04 CTT suspension/lowering links...acting weird....
After some searching I haven't found anyone with the exact problem I am having so I thought I would ask and see if this sounds familiar to anyone.
I installed Ghost Motorsports lowering links and have them set at about 2.5 turns. It seems to work fine unless I try to select the loading setting with the switch inside the car. It will say it is trying to go down to the loading setting and after maybe 30-45 seconds of trying it throws the faulty air suspension warning and locks up and won't go to any other setting. I have to turn the car off and restart it, at which point it goes back to the "normal" height on its own and functions properly unless I attempt to go to the loading setting again. Also, while I am at highway speeds, if I hit the 80mph mark it will try to go to the lowest setting and lock up again and will not go to any other setting unless I stop, turn the car off, and restart.
I don't think it is TOO low because I've seen several Cayennes that are lower. In the "low" setting, it sits just about where I want it, but the locking up everytime you hit 80mph gets old because it rides like complete crap when it is locked into that setting where it throws the error message. I plan to turn the links all the way back to the highest setting and start taking it down a half turn or so at a time and see what happens, but until I get a chance to do that later this week I thought I would post and see if anyone else had this problem with links.

Hmm..my air suspension with my lowering links seem fine. I put them on at the highest setting which lowered it about 1.75-2" in the normal height mode. At first it gave me the Air suspension faulty alarm right after I turned the car on, but then went away and never came back. When I'm at 80 it lowers with no issues. I was afraid the suspension would feel like crap too, but actually it feels fine or what I would expect with air suspension and lowering links. It would be cool to be able to tweak the pressure in the air shocks because I'm sure they are not calibrated for the lowered settings. I dunno, maybe they are. lol.
I'd start over with the install, back to stock and see if everything is cool, then try them again.

Yeah, mine rides great also until it locks into that lowest setting and throws the warning, then the ride feels more like a wooden rollercoaster than an SUV. After sitting here thinking about it for a second, I think I might just back it up about a half turn rather than going all the way back to the highest setting and see how it reacts.
Well as it turns out, I think I did have it set a little too low. I backed it all the way down to about one turn from the highest setting and it cured the warning problem. It goes into the loading level just fine now. And on top of that, it is sitting almost as low as it was at 2.5 turns out. I think the 2.5 turns just had it wigging out and it couldn't go as low as it thought it should be going so it just locked up.
