Window Regulator

Anyone replace a window regulator on their Cayenne? Would be interested in basic instructions. How did you remove the subframe and the window as is required?

Thanks!

How are your DIY skills/tool selection? It's a pretty big and complicated job. Really basic instructions would be:1. remove door trim panel 2. remove outer door handle (lock barrel can be stubborn 3. remove door subframe w/harness (you'll need a helper) 4. drill out rivets and replace regulator 5. reinstall subframe (lots of adjustments) 6. reinstall outer door handle and inner trim panel

Do you have any details - seem to be stuck removing the inner subframe - have the 6 rivets drilled out - seems to be stuck by the door handle. Have an appointment with the dealer for Monday - thanks for the help

Have you separated the large subframe/upper window frame/window glass and regulator/door latch/black sheet metal from door skin and have it on a bench?

Really appreciate your guidance! Here is where I am at (at work right now actually!)

Door Panel is off...
Removed all the screws for the subframe and 6 rivets (4 on the top and 2 small ones on each side.
The subframe seems to be attached by the door handle - the alldata instructions say "remove glass" should I pull up on the glass frame at this point?

To give you a level of what I have done on this vehicle - had the interior out last summer to rewire a whole new stereo system....think this door dealy would be simple - all data even rates the job as a "B" level mechanic - and 1.6 hours! www.alldata.com
